FAQ
How can I determine the best tyres for my vehicle?
When selecting new tyres, several considerations come into play.
Four crucial factors to weigh include:
1. Local weather and climate:
Consider your region's weather conditions. For instance, if you reside in an area prone to heavy rainfall, prioritizing the tyre's 'wet grip' rating from the tyre label is advisable.
2. Vehicle type:
Whether you drive a car, van, 4x4, or camper van, each vehicle type demands tyres tailored to its specific requirements.
3. Driving habits:
Each tyre listed on Tires247.ae is accompanied by details about its intended usage conditions. Assessing these specifications will assist in finding a tyre that matches your driving style.
4. Budget constraints:
While cost is a significant factor, it's essential to remember that tyres are your vehicle's sole point of contact with the road. Instead of focusing solely on price, consider what fits comfortably within your budget.
Where can I discover additional information about the brands?
We understand the importance of choosing the right tyres, and many shoppers prefer to research and compare various brands and models.
For detailed information on any specific tyre, our tyre experts have compiled comprehensive details for each model in our catalog. You can find this information on each tyre's product page, accessible directly from the tyre search results by clicking on the tyre's name.
Additionally, we maintain a directory showcasing the range of brands we carry on our website.
Why do certain tyres list vehicle manufacturers?
Certain vehicle manufacturers may specify particular tyres for their vehicles, which were originally used during the vehicle's design phase.
These tyres are often highly specialized and must be matched precisely to specific vehicles. Considerable effort is invested in tuning and optimizing them, particularly for high-powered sports or luxury vehicles.
What do XL and Reinforced mean?
If your vehicle, such as a multi-purpose vehicle (e.g., minivan) or one that frequently carries heavy loads, is designed by the manufacturer to use tyres capable of supporting heavier loads, you may need XL (Extra Load) or reinforced tyres.
You can identify these tyres by looking for the letters XL or RNF on the sidewall, similar to how the tyre size is indicated.
Which tyres provide good mileage?
Determining tyre longevity is complex and depends on several factors:
- Driving habits
- Road conditions
- Vehicle specifications
- Make and model of the vehicle
- Weather conditions

Is the age of a tyre important?
Tyre Safety: The 5-Year Rule
Tyres are considered new and suitable for retail up to 5 years from their production date, a standard set by the German BRV.
During use, it's recommended to replace tyres when they reach 7 to 10 years of age (6 years for caravans or trailers).
How to Determine a Tyre's Age
Look for the DOT code on the sidewall of the tyre. This code includes the tyre's manufacturing date.
Since the year 2000, the date section of the code consists of 4 numbers. The first two digits indicate the week of manufacture, and the last two indicate the year. For example, a code like '3909' means the tyre was manufactured in the 39th week of 2009.

What is wheel alignment, and why is it necessary for my vehicle?
Wheel alignment becomes necessary when your tyres exhibit uneven wear or when your vehicle tends to veer to one side. While it's crucial to address alignment issues promptly, it's generally advisable to have your vehicle's wheel alignment checked annually.
Wheel alignment involves adjusting the angles of the wheels to ensure they are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. This process aims to maximize tyre lifespan, enhance fuel efficiency, and maintain a straight trajectory when driving on level roads.
Symptoms indicating a need for wheel alignment include:
- Uneven or rapid tyre wear
- Drifting or wandering on a straight, level road
- Pulling away from a straight line
- Steering wheel spokes off-center while driving on a straight road
If a vehicle has loose or worn front-end suspension parts, wheel alignment is not possible. Before initiating the alignment process, the technician will inspect for any worn components and inform you of the findings.
A four-wheel alignment is considered the most effective type. Many modern cars feature adjustable rear alignment settings, and even those without such adjustments can benefit from a four-wheel alignment. This comprehensive approach allows technicians to identify and address rear tracking issues by making necessary adjustments to the front alignment.
After the wheel alignment procedure, it is essential to drive the car on a straight and level road. Ensure the vehicle maintains a straight trajectory and the steering wheel spokes are level. If any issues are observed, return to the technician for further adjustments and fine-tuning of the alignment settings.

Once there, enter your location and click the 'Search for Store' button. This will display the nearest installer to you.
What is wheel balancing, and why is it important?
Wheel balancing ensures smooth tyre and wheel rotation without causing vibrations. This process involves identifying heavy spots in the wheel-tire combination and counteracting them by placing a precisely measured weight on the opposite side of the wheel. When tyres are out of balance, the car may vibrate, especially at speeds between 80 and 120 km/h. Symptoms of an unbalanced wheel include:
- Vibration in the steering wheel at specific highway speeds.
- Vibration in the seat or floorboard at particular highway speeds.
Even a minor imbalance of 10 or 20 grams on a front wheel can cause noticeable vibrations in the steering wheel around 100 km/h. Balancing all four wheels often results in a noticeably smoother driving experience. In some cases, hitting a pothole can dislodge the weight attached to the wheel, causing an imbalance. Regular wheel balancing is essential for maintaining optimal vehicle performance and a comfortable driving experience.
What is included in the price of a Tyre?
Each tyre displayed on Tires247.ae is individually priced.
The price displayed includes 5% VAT, delivery to the installer, installation (including replacement with a brand new standard valve), balancing (using quality weights), and disposal of your old tyres.
When you purchase 4 tyres or more, your wheel alignment will be visually inspected. If any defects are found, they can be fixed at an additional cost. We also offer tyre rotation services every 20,000 km, up to once a year.
Please note that extra service charges apply for specialized wheels, such as center or bead lock. Valves with TPMS, if required, will also be charged separately. Contact us for any specialized requirements.
